The Durability of the Craft
The hands that keep the world standing are usually not in the brochure.
The super who knows which radiator makes the knocking sound when the pressure is wrong. The cook whose soup you cannot reproduce even with her recipe written down. The woman who reads your engine by listening to it idle. The man who splices the cable after the lightning took it out.

They don't trend.
They don't trend.
A model can describe what they do. A model cannot *do* what they do — yet — because what they do includes a thousand small judgments the model has no name for. The tightening by feel. The look on the apprentice's face when the thing finally clicks.

When the last person who knows something dies, and no one wrote it down, no one trained on it — a piece of the world is quietly smaller.
Apprentice to someone. While they're still here.
